Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Share Card?
Think of it as a little home for what you do. Your Share Card brings your links together on one page, ready to share through your ZeroTag. Create and edit it in the app, and choose what to share with the person in front of you.
Does the receiver need an app?
Nope. No download detour. They tap your ZeroTag with their phone, tap the notification, and your Share Card opens in their usual browser. Back to the conversation you go.
What can I connect to a Share Card?
Photos, PDFs, your portfolio or shop, plus Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and LinkedIn, for starters. Bring the good stuff together in one place, so the person you’re with doesn’t have to go on a link-hunting expedition.
What if I forget my tag?
Left it at home? You’re still in business. Share your Share Card from the app via AirDrop, or have the other person scan the QR code on your Share Card. No signal? Offline mode lets them save your contact details, including a link to your Share Card. They can open the Share Card when they’re back online.
Can I change what my tags share?
Absolutely. New work? New links? New chapter? Update your Share Card in the app and your existing ZeroTag opens the updated page. No need to start collecting replacement tags.
Do ZeroTags need batteries? How long do they last?
Nope. One less thing to charge. The NFC chip borrows power from the phone during a tap and typically lasts around 10 years or more. How long the physical tag lasts depends on how you use and look after it.
Which phones work with ZeroTag?
iPhone XS, XR and newer are good to go. Most Android phones with NFC work too. Check your model’s specs and make sure NFC is switched on—that little setting is easy to miss.
How close does a phone need to be?
Nice and close—usually within 1–4 centimetres of the ZeroTag. Hold your phone there until the notification appears. The sweet spot depends on where your phone’s NFC antenna sits, so a tiny adjustment can do the trick.
How is this different from a QR code?
Less camera-aiming, more conversation. Tap your phone to the ZeroTag to open what you’re sharing. The NFC chip lives inside, leaving the outside for your artwork. You can update the links without replacing the tag.
Can I customise my ZeroTag?
Absolutely. Your logo, your artwork, that doodle you’re oddly proud of. Online artwork orders are paused for a short while, so email support@zerotag.au and we’ll help you order a ZeroTag with your own artwork.
Who is ZeroTag for?
For people sharing what they do in person: photographers, artists, designers, makers, market stallholders and teams at events. If you’ve ever said “I’ll send you the link” and then… didn’t, you’ll get it.
Who is behind ZeroTag?
We’re a Melbourne crew led by CEO Joseph Yap and COO Shimroth Thomas. We make connected objects that help you share what you do. Big fans of meeting people in real life.
How much does a ZeroTag cost?
That depends on your pick: ZeroCard, ZeroKeyring or ZeroBadge. You’ll find the current prices in the ZeroTag store. Share Card included · no subscription.
What happens to my data?
Lost your tag? You can still change or delete your Share Card in the app. Anything you’ve made public may still be opened through the tag until you change or remove it, so choose what you’re happy to share. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your account details and content, and how to request access, corrections or deletion.
Can I see who viewed my card?
You can see how many times your ZeroTag has been scanned and your Share Card has been viewed. Who’s behind each view stays a mystery. We show you the counts, not a guest list.
Can I order tags for my whole team?
Yep, bring the whole crew. We offer bulk orders for teams, workplaces and events. Email hello@zerotag.au with how many tags you’re after, which ones and your design ideas, and we’ll talk bulk pricing.
What are the shipping and returns options?
Shipping is worked out at checkout. Our Shipping Policy has the delivery details, and our Refund Policy covers returns, repairs and replacements. Need a hand with an order? Give us a shout.
